Position Description
Cornerstone Automation Systems is seeking a creative, innovative software engineer who enjoys a dynamic work environment. An ideal candidate would contribute to the overall coding and design of technology solutions that address the business needs in a fast-paced agile environment. We are seeking a .Net developer proficient in Visual Studio 2010 or newer, SQL Server 2008 R2 and 2012. A candidate with a knowledge and understanding of data driven applications from design to implementation who later leverage best practices for developing scalable solutions. In addition to new Web, Windows and Database development, there are opportunities to upgrade/migrate existing interfaces to the latest technology.
Responsibilities:
Under the guise of a senior developer or software manager, the candidate will:
- Attend meetings with customers to gather and document business requirements.
- Execute database queries for reporting and troubleshooting.
- Participate in acceptance, development, testing and applying non-critical software code changes accordingly.
- Gain knowledge on all product lines and potentially become a subject matter expert in particular areas of interest or importance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
Successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the following:
SQL Skills (Oracle or SQL Server): designing tables/schemas, stored procedures, user-defined functions, ETL jobs.
C# or Java
Windows App
Windows Services
Source Control Tool, preferably Team Foundation Server, but also would consider experience with Git or Subversion
Ability to walk, stand and squat to examine and troubleshoot equipment
Ability to handle basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment
Resourceful and self-driven
Ability to change priorities
Willing to travel (10% depending on the project)
All successful candidates must:
Be able to communicate effectively and feel comfortable interfacing with customers.
Have two forms of valid documentation.
Pass a criminal background check.
Pass a drug test.
Be authorized to work in the United States.
