Electrical Design Engineer (Contractor)

Cornerstone Automation Systems (CASI) is a privately-held, state-of-the-art software, engineering and production company that designs, manufactures, and implements turnkey intelligent automation order fulfillment systems for warehouse and central pharmacy operations that serve a broad base of industries. Job responsibility:
The candidate will be responsible for working on a design team to be responsible for electrical machine design by producing drawing packages including power distribution, digital IO, panel designs for machinery, control circuitry, and equipment. All manufacturing will be built to print, adhering to pre-established guidelines of CASI’s engineering specifications. The candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Engineering Manager in the design, build and test of Robotic and automated systems. Troubleshooting, and updating initial electrical designs, such as schematics, and bills of material including support of manufacturing personnel.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science: Electrical Engineering
3+ years of electrical design experience
Ability to design and create electrical schematics in an industrial controls application
(i.e. PLC, Robotics, digital I/O Low Voltage Controls)
Experience in low voltage (<600VAC 3 phase) power distribution
Experienced in the use of AutoCAD Electrical
Excellent communication skills
Ability to walk, stand and squat to examine and troubleshoot equipment
Ability to handle basic hand tools and diagnostic equipment
Must be willing to travel up to 20%
All successful candidates must have:
Have two forms of valid documentation.
Pass a criminal background check.
Pass a drug test.
Be authorized to work in the United States.
